Review: Maybelline Define-A-Lash
I’ve been hearing a lot of positive noises on the subject of Maybelline’s new Define-A-Lash mascara recently. I’ve tried to block them out, in the hope that the hype will soon die down. I mean, it’s not like I really need another mascara, is it?
But, try as I might, my curiosity has, finally, got the better of me.
Yes people, today I caved and bought it.
And?
Well, let’s just say, curiosity didn’t kill the cat (not that I, er, actually have a cat, metaphorical or otherwise…) but it sure did make my lashes long. Very long.
The brush takes a little bit of getting used to because it bends, you see. Quite a lot. But, bendiness aside, it looks like a standard new generation mascara brush. Nothing too new there, then.
The bendiness of the brush actually makes it easier to coat each lash, so when they say defined, they mean defined. And as for the “zero clump” claim? I’m pleased to report that this is the first mascara I’ve used that didn’t clump at all. Not one, tiny little bit.
It’s a revelation, I tell you! But, don’t just take my word for it. Here’s the photographic evidence:
My verdict? Absolutely brilliant. For once a mascara that not only lives up to the hype, but actually delivers on its promises. And then some.
And all for the very reasonable price of $9.99. If you’re in the market for a new mascara, then you could do a lot worse than road test this little beauty.
